Many of the students at Mama Hellen’s School have lost one or both parents to violence and war, and most students lack the financial resources to pay for school tuition. Most families in Abara support themselves through agriculture, but conflict in the area has severely damaged roads, preventing members of the community from bringing their crops to larger markets.

To address this issue, the Mama Hellen’s Team decided to launch a student sponsorship program to support children in pursuit of education and provide a steady stream of revenue for the school.
